John Edwards Steps Down

This was disappointing news for me because for once there is a candidate that actually cared about the large numbers of people living in poverty. Once upon a time, not so long ago, work was a step up for people. Now many of us are just surviving week to week even though we work hard at our jobs. The trends in the United States are mirrored here in Canada.

I doubt whether Clinton or Obama will carry the torch. Edwards was the only candidate that I believed to be sincere and authentic having his own experiences with the aftermath of the free trade agreements.
